'We are retired politicians', former President Goodluck Jonathan reportedly told Nigerians after a closed-door meeting with Nigeria's former military President, Gen Ibrahim Babangida in Minna, Niger State.
The meeting which was not covered by the press reportedly took place at IBB's hilltop mansion in the company of former Senator Nimi Barigha Amange had represented Bayelsa East in the National Assembly.
The meeting with the former military ruler started at about 10.00am and ended at about 12.14pm.
While addressing newsmen on his way out the former President described the visit as private and on insistence to comment on the current situation of the country, he replied, “We are retired politicians.”
