REPORTS coming in say no fewer than 5 persons were killed at the weekend by Fulani herdsmen who invaded invaded farmlands at Ossissa community, Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Delta State.
Our source revealed that the youths of Ossissa community got angry over the feeling of growing insecurity of lives and properties resulting from the nefarious activities of the herdsmen mobilized and barricaded the major rods in the community.
Speaking to newsmen, the Ossissa youth president, Mr. Ebisue Ashibudike, said: “Udoka Ossai was carrying a woman on his motorcycle and did not know that the herdsmen were laying ambush at Ugbo farm.
“They continued the attack on our land and killed an indigene of Aballa community and one other person that came from Utagba-Uno community, Ndokwa West council.
However,in a bid to halt their reign of terror in Delta communities, the police swooped on four herdsmen, who had been laying siege to Olomoro-Oyede Road, Isoko South Local Government Area of the state and got killed by the police in a gun battle.
