The United Nations amid global outrage has formally reacted to the sale of African migrants in Libya.
Speaking at the UN General Assembly, the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, urged the authorities in Libya to launch full investigations into the incident and ensure the perpetrators are fished out and speedily brought to justice.
Recall, CNN in a footage showed African slave migrants held in captivity in Libya many of whom are Nigerians and Gambians.
Today over 180 Gambians were reportedly received back home at the airport of Banjul while President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria also reportedly dispatched an airplane to bring back home stranded Nigerian migrants in Libya.
