Anambra State under Chief Osita Chidoka, the gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of the United Peoples Party in the forth-coming Anambra gubernatorial election may be the first Southeast state to break away from Nigeria as he differs from the action of both President Muhammadu Buhari and the five governors of the southeast states.
He said the action taken by President Muhammadu Buhari by ordering the invasion of the home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu was wrong while also faulted in its entirety the President's statement on the indivisibility of Nigeria.
Also condemned is the avowed declaration by President Buhari that the unity of Nigeria stands and non-negotiable.
While speaking in Enugu, the capital of Enugu State, he unfolded his plans for the state to a cross-section of Anambra State indigenes.
He condemned the statements credited to President Buhari and also tongue-lashed him for the recent military operation in Igboland and the branding of IPOB as a terrorist organization.
He said: “the unity of Nigeria is negotiable and was indeed negotiated by founding fathers such as Sir Ahmadu Bello, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, and Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
“It was wrong in the first place for the federal government to have sent soldiers to commit mass murder in Igboland.”
On his development plans, if elected the governor of Anambra State, he said: “We will manage Anambra to produce human resources,” he said.
He added, “I am the only candidate discussing how to turn around Anambra state.
“My role is to take Ndigbo, Anambra to a higher purpose. My vision is to build a world-class model state in Nigeria.
“I want to run a transparent based government driven by Ndi-Anambra aspiration. Our strategy is to play in the digital economy, reform core values based on knowledge, vision, execution and sustenance.”
