Buhari Declares That Bukola Saraki Has Never Stolen Public Funds In His Entire Life, Diezani Is a Living Witness The Spokesman of the Kwara State All Progressives Congress, APC, Sullyman Buhari, has given Senate President, Bukola Saraki, a clean bill of health, over allegations of corruption targeted against his personality. In a statement signed by the Spokesman, on Sunday, and made available to Post-Nigeria, he attested that the ongoing trial of the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, by the United States Department of Justice on illegal diversion of Nigeria’s oil funds, was a vindication for the Senate President. He noted, that Saraki as a member of the Committee on Finance probing the allegation of the missing $20 billion, could have derived huge personal benefits from collaborating in the plot to clear Madueke against the findings of the Committee. The statement added that, Saraki refused to sign the report, and then on May 29, 2014, issued a press statement to dissociate himself from any so-called clearance. “We are raising this issue to refreshen the memory of all Nigerians, particularly those who are sponsoring the ‘Paint Saraki Black’ campaign for political purpose that the Senate President has always been a champion of transparency in public office and that when he stood the chance of deriving great personal financial benefit, he chose to protect and canvass the Nigerian cause. That is the case with the NNPC probe. “In that case, he sacrificed even personal relationships. He chose to incur the wrath of the powers that be. Some investigations which some people now tried to use against him came out of the bitter attempt to get back at him. That is why we wonder how some people are trying to pin the label of corruption on him when on many occasions, he fought against corrupt practices. In fact, in the fuel subsidy issue, he was the anchor person against the fraudulent payment to some oil dealers in the name of subsidy. “Let us remind all Nigerians of the statement he issued on the Madueke investigation by the Senate. In the statement, Saraki had said: ‘The recent media reports claiming that the Senate Committee on Finance has cleared NNPC of any unaccounted revenue fund is not true. Though I could not attend the last meeting of the committee, I have been very active in the investigation, nothing significant has changed to suggest clearing anybody. “I can say on behalf of the Committee that these media reports bear no correlation to the content of the Senate Committee report and I would urge the public to disregard it in its entirety.The Committee is yet to receive the report on the forensic audit and independent analysis on the subject clearly indicate we have a lot of grounds to cover in order to determine the level of culpability or otherwise of the agency on the alleged non-committal, so to suggest any clearance for anybody at this stage is out of the question. “I will further advise that the media should wait for the Senate to release the details of the Committee report to the public before they jump into spurious conclusions”, the 2014 statement concluded. “Obviously, this man does not deserve all these campaign of calumny being waged against him just for political and partisan reasons. The past government initiated many investigations against him because of his stand against them like the one he took on the oil subsidy issue and his leading a good number of Governors and influential politicians out of then ruling PDP. Now, some people in the APC are using the reports of these warped investigations to orchestrate media propaganda against him. History will continue to vindicate him”, the APC Spokesman stressed.

The embattled Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has rained curses on those who opposed to the actualization of Biafra, while adding that, what happened to President Muhammadu Buhari, would equally happen to the persons.

Nnamdi Kanu, who made the declaration while addressing his followers in Nri, Anambra State, warned that the anger of his God, will descend on the people of Anambra, if they went ahead to participate in the November 18 Gubernatorial election, in the State.

He warned that anyone who opposes to Biafra: “what happened to Buhari, will happen to the person.”  

Kanu added: “Anybody that stands in the way of Biafra, will be destroyed. 

“I have not made any pronouncement that did not come to pass.

“I am saying that there will be no election in Anambra State, on No­vember 18.

“Nobody can stop IPOB. Bi­afraland is grossly marginalised; we have no good road, no electricity, no source of water, and so on.

“I am sure that Buhari will not come back again, and if anybody said there will be no Biafra, what happened to Buhari will happen to the person.”

Recall, that the IPOB Leader had appealed to his followers, to sit at home on November 18, if they want to actualize Biafra.
