The government of Muhammadu Buhari has been given the boot by a group known as the Nigerian Youth Advocate for Justice. The group led by its Chairman, Seriki Olorunwa, gave President Buhari eight calendar weeks to either resign or form an interim government or face the peoples' wrath as plans are underway to throw him out of office by mobilising no fewer than seven million youths across 22 states to effect his removal from office.
He said it has indeed become very obvious that his health challenges are telling gravely on his ability to lead Nigeria.
He said, “We urge the Senate, House of Representatives, state House of Assemblies and parastatals to persuade Mr President to resign and hand over to an interim president in the interest of Nigerians,” the statement said.
Mr Olorunwa pledged not to shed any blood in the course of leading the protest to remove Buhari from office but said it was ready to fight than to live as slaves.
“We are speaking with one voice for the masses because we want the progress of the people.”
The group lamented that Nigerians have been subjected to humiliation because of the self-serving activities of Nigeria's governing party, the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Crimes of varying degree such as killing, kidnapping and robbery have become the order of the day, in fact, are on the ascending order of magnitude which is more than enough to demand his immediate removal from office by every means possible.
