Gambia's Foreign Minister has renewed call on illegal Gambian migrants in Europe to return home for the reason for their flight from the country is no more.
He said Gambia's exiled dictator, Yahya Jammeh, part of the reason why they flee the country in droves is no more in power.
The foreign minister has said the country is liaising with International Organization for Migration to bring home its nationals stuck in Libya who are trying to embark on the perilous sea crossing to Europe.
Recall Al Jazeera ran a story in the video below about a month ago on how Gambian migrants were assisted to return home from Libya through the agency of International Organization for Migration.
The Gambian authorities while expressing worries about the increasing loss of its nationals in this needless adventure to Europe in search of a better life deemed this renewed campaign absolutely necessary.
