The embattled former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Tuesday, said President Muhammadu Buhari ruled Nigeria from his aircraft, in his two years reign as President.
The former Minister who is also a Chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, made the claim while assessing Buhari’s two years in office.
In a series of tweets on his social media handle, Fani-Kayode insisted that Buhari had been absent from work for 246 days, out of his 725 days in office.
The tweets read: “Buhari ruled from the Airbus in the sky for 2 years. Now he’s taken a vessel into space, and all the planets are rejecting him.”
“Did you know that Buhari has been absent from WORK for 246 days, out of his 725 days in Office? Yet he wants a 2nd Term?”
Recall, that the Buhari Campaign Organisation, BCO, had said on Monday, that Buhari will seek for a second term in 2019.
The organisation said two years of the All Progressives Congress-led, APC, government, had impacted more positively on Nigerians, than the 16 years of the PDP.
He called on Nigerians to support the government, in order to sustain its effort at building a peaceful and enduring democratic legacy in the country.
“His second coming in 2019 is important for the survival of Nigeria. Except he returns in 2019, this country will be destroyed; and we can assure you that Mr President will contest again. BCO appreciates the progress made so far towards ensuring security, revitalising the economy, and tackling corruption”, the organisation had said.
