President Muhammadu Buhari, has been called upon to dissolve his cabinet, on the ground of incompetence, on May 29, as a way of regaining the confidence of Nigerians.
Recall, that May 29, 2017, is the two year anniversary of Buhari, since he came into power on May 29, 2015, after defeating the former President, Goodluck Jonathan-led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The call to dissolve the cabinet, was made by an opposition party, known as the Democratic Peoples Congress, DPC.
The DPC, which decries calls for independent candidacy for elections in Nigeria, called on Buhari to appoint a new crop of competent persons as Ministers, without recourse to their political party affiliations.
The DPC, which decries calls for independent candidacy for elections in Nigeria, called on Buhari to appoint a new crop of competent persons as Ministers, without recourse to their political party affiliations.
The party which identified 5 incompetent Ministers without mentioning their names, revealed that the said Ministers are holding the nations to ransom, by their incompetence.
The party, in a statement on Sunday night by its National Chairman, Rev. Olusegun Peters, claimed that there was a cabal within the Federal Executive Council, FEC, that was not allowing the Buhari-led government, to make life comfortable for Nigerians.
“His (Buhari) mid-term report card is gloomy, and the state of the nation, bad. Nigeria has been adrift in the past two years, with economic recession, political upheavals, executive-legislature squabble, infrastructural decay, impunity, and marginalisation of some sections of the country”, the statement said in part.
