Emerging report, has revealed that the suspended Senator, Ali Ndume, allegedly hired Internal Displaced Persons, IDPs, by paying them N500 each, to protest against his suspension by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki-led Senate.
Reacting to Ndume’s action a source said: “It is very embarrassing, inhumane, and wicked, that Senator Ali Ndume will take advantage of people of the IDP camp for a demonstration, meanwhile he is one of those accused sponsors of boko Haram.”
Recall, that the Nigerian Senate had suspended Senator Ali Ndume for six months, having been accused of bringing Senators Dino Melaye, Saraki, and the institution of the Senate, to an unbearable disrepute.
The decision was taken by the Senate, after considering the report of its Committee on Ethics and Privileges, which was directed to investigate the matter.
Consequently, a few days back, some youths allegedly recruited from various IDP camps, in Borno State, have taken to the streets to protest what they termed as the “illegal suspension” of the former Senate Leader, Ali Ndume.
A facebook user, Musa Kelkel, who was part of the protesters wrote: “Six months without representation, we say no to 108 criminals at the red chamber.”
