There seems to be total confusion in the nation, as the President Muhamamdu Buhari-led Federal Government, has again removed the Acting Director-General, DG, of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, NTDC, Mariel Rae-Omoh.
Paul Adalikwu, has been named Acting DG, pending the appointment of a substantive DG.
The development has led to major confusion in the Agency, Post-Nigeria gathered.
Adalikwu, is the third Acting DG, after the removal of the immediate past Director General of the NTDC, Sally Mbanefo.
Recall, that Mbanefo was removed on November 27, 2016, through a letter by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir David Lawal.
Boniface Ebuka, was then appointed as Acting DG, but was replaced after less than a month in office.
The on-going restructuring also saw 15 senior officials, who were reportedly promoted against civil service rules, demoted.
The demotion and Adalikwu’s appointment, followed the receipt of a petition, which the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, mandated a Committee to look into.
