A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described the Comptroller General of Nigerian Customs Services, NCS, Gen Hameed Ali (rtd) as a “stubborn, arrogant monkey” for refusing to appear before the senate in uniform.
Ali had last week shocked the Upper Legislative Chambers after he refused to appear in uniform before it to defend the controversial policy on payment of duties for old vehicle in uniform.
Following his refusal to wear his Customs uniform during his appearance at the senate during plenary,
Senators had last week walked out on him.
However, the former Aviation Minister in his reaction said the Customs boss was taking Nigerians for granted.
In a series of tweets on Sunday, the former media director of the Goodluck Jonathan Presidential campaign organisation in 2015 said the Senate should insist that Ali appears before them “stark naked” and that if he refuses they should “arrest him and have him brought in chains.”
The tweet reads, “The Senate should insist that he appears before them STARK NAKED. If he refuses, they should arrest him and have him brought in chains.
“The arrogant, stubborn and ugly little monkey called Ali that refuses to wear his uniform before the Senate is insulting the Nigerian people.
