(PDP) in the state will defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next general election with its performance in office.
According to a statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, the speaker made this statement while receiving some defectors to the PDP at a rally in Moba Local Government area of the state at the weekend.
While receiving the defectors, led by Mr. Segun Bimiteko and Mr. Adeawo in Igogo-Ekiti, the Speaker observed that “Moba is the first local government to hold this type of meeting which the other local governments will soon begin to observe. It is going to be a continuous exercise.”
A number of PDP followers, led by the state Commissioner for Information, Lanre Ogunsuyi, state Publicity Secretary, Jackson Adebayo, the local government’s chairman of the party, Mr Israel Ogundele, the council chairman, Niyi Adebayo, among others, witnessed the ocassion.
“We are here once again to keep you informed about what is going on in government. Twenty-two people have been picked from each ward across the state, while another 15 are still being drafted.
“We will deal with the All Progressives Congress (APC) with the kind of laudable programmes and achievements of the PDP,” Oluwawole added.
He encouraged the people of the state to always listen to the state radio station, especially when Governor Ayodele Fayose is holding media chart, stressing, “there are lots of programmes you can benefit from the government, such as agricultural loan and so many other empowerment programmes. The government is there to better your lots against all odds.”
