US president-elect Donald Trump has been sued by yet another woman who claims he sexually abused her. The incoming US leader could appear in court after former US Apprentice star Summer Zervos filed a lawsuit against the billionaire for defamation. The 41-year-old filed court papers in Los Angeles over allegedly false statements Trump made in response to her accusation.
Her claim states the President-elect knew by saying she, as well as numerous other alleged victims of his, were lying it would subject them to “threats of violence, economic harm and reputational damage.”
Zervos claimed in October that Trump, who was once the host of the reality TV show, sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions during a 2007 business meeting at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
She said he made unwanted advances toward her, kissing her on the lips, pressing himself against her and groping her breast and body without her consent. Trump has vehemently denied the claims.
Zervos is just one of more than 16 women, many of which are former beauty pageant queens, who have accused the new US leader of touching them inappropriately.
Like the former reality TV star many said they came forward after an Access Hollywood tape emerged of Trump saying he forced himself on women.
Some of the alleged victims, who at the time of their claimed attacks were similar in looks with long blonde hair, are being represented by famed US lawyer Gloria Allred.
They are set to attend the Women’s March in Washington the day after Trump’s inauguration.
