Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav and the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom yesterday disagreed on the flag-off of N38 billion Makurdi Cargo Airport project launched by the governor last week.
Tsav, in a statement to journalists, however, faulted the launch of the capital intensive project at this time of prevailing economic downturn, saying that the cargo airport for Benue State now under the present government was senseless and economically unviable.
Tsav, a Commissioner at the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in the state, described the project as a “big fraud and a conduit pipe” to siphon the tax-payers’ money and expressed optimism that the governor did not consult his economic advisers before arriving at the plans to kick start the cargo airport project
