Why I Dislike and Would Never Support Buhari - Femi Kuti

PARIS, OCTOBER 29, 2016: (DGW) FEMI-KUTI , the son of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Afrobeats maestro has given reasons why he would never support President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said this while responding to questions from a fan on Twitter. The Afro-beat king said, Buhari back in 1984 intercepted his father while on his way to stage a show in the USA and jailed his father.

Reasons tendered by the junta by Buhari was that £1,600 pounds was found with the late Afro-beat legend.

Fela after his release did tell his fans all over the world that, “they didn’t want me to go to the USA to play. They wanted to deal with me in a special way. They have dealt with me violently, and now they wanted to deal with my mind.”
