Newly Commissioned Road In Ikorodu Breaks Apart, Government Reacts (See Photos)

Barely one week after the official commissioning of the newly constructed Federal Low Cost Bye-Pass in Itokin axis of Ikorodu North LCDA, Ikorodu by the Lagos State Government, the road is currently breaking apart. The road was commissioned as part of the ongoing 114 Roads project across the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas in the state.

The road which was constructed by DHV Nigeria Limited was commissioned last Wednesday, September 21, 2016. The road is presently nothing to write home about as parts of it is filled with pot holes while some parts is wearing off.

In a statement titled ‘The Very New – Very Bad Road, the lawmaker whose constituency covers the Ikorodu North LCDA assured residents that “the condemnable state of the road will be addressed in the house of assembly today God willing and necessary action shall be taken there of.”

He added that “for now, I will not want to say more, than to assure you that, as your representative in the Assembly, your disappointment, rage and queries have already been tabled and will be discussed today.”
