Governor Samuel Ortom has escaped death after his convoy was involved in an accident. According to The Punch the Benue governor was returning from Zaki Biam when a commercial Carina ll Toyota car slammed into his convoy.
The incident happened on Tuesday, March 21 when the governor was returning from his assessment of the gun attack at International Yam Market in the state. Although no life was lost, one of the passengers in the car sustained head injury and had to be taken to the hospital on the order of the governor. Comrade Kris Atsaka who is the chairman of the state’s National Union Of Journalists was in the vonvoy and sustained injuries.
