Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday, during plenary, stated that himself and the National Assembly which he heads, will no longer engage in any future face-off with the Executive arm of government.
Saraki stressed that the days of “endless attacks and balderdash are over.”
The Senate President, made the position known on Wednesday, when Lawmakers considered a motion on “the illegal extension of the tenure of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC”, sponsored by Senator Emmanuel Paulker, from Bayelsa State.
Saraki, who did not allow a debate on the motion, said: “We are not here to always attack the Executive. The days of always attacking the Executive are over. We must not be involved in acts of balderdash.
“I suggest that we handle it amicably, and allow the relevant Committees to meet with the SGF, and look at the issue”, he stated.
