Mamman Street in the Asokoro District of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, was on fire on Tuesday, when a combined team of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attempted to arrest the former Head of the Department of State Security Services, DSS, Ita Ekpeyong, and Ayo Oke, the former Head of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA.
According to reports, the EFCC officials tried to arrest Ayo Oke and Ita Ekpeyong from their homes, on Mamman Nasir Street, in the Asokoro District of Abuja, but were resisted by Armed Security Agents of the two Agencies.
This has led to a continued stand off between the Armed Security Officers from all the three Agencies as at the time of this report, causing a traffic mayhem in the area.
As at the time of filing in this report, the DSS and the NIA Security Officials were preventing the EFCC from gaining entrance into the building.
