Emerging report reaching US, on Tuesday afternoon, reveals that former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar’s very close Associate, Oladimeji Fabiyi, is set to pick the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairmanship form.
Oladimeji Fabiyi, is the former Chief Accountant of the Peoples Democratic Party National Headquarters; and he has been under tremendous pressure to run for the office of the PDP National Chairman, since the position was zoned to the South-West by the party leadership.
Reports however, revealed that he is a right hand man and loyalist of the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who last week tendered his resignation letter from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and is widely speculated to make a historic return to the PDP anytime soon.
Mr. Fabiyi’s supporters maintain that as a youth with requisite experience and capacity in party administration, the party sure needs a young vibrant and untainted personality like Fabiyi, to take over the mantle of leadership of the PDP.
Recall, that Fabiyi contested for the office of National Secretary of the party in 2012, where he was prevailed upon by the former President, Goodluck Jonathan, to step down for the erstwhile National Secretary, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
Oladimeji Fabiyi told our Correspondent that he is still consulting widely to ensure he secures all the stakeholders support.
Fabiyi hales from Abeokuta South, in Ogun state, South-West Nigeria. He is a Chartered Management Accountant, a fellow of 4 professional bodies; he holds a Masters Degree in Financial Management, Bachelors Degree in Banking and Finance, and a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration.
