There are reports that the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, was on Monday, shut out of Aso Rock, as President Muhammadu Buhari presided over the National Caucus of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The meeting, was held at the new Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
Sources revealed that Atiku who until the time of filing in this report is a chieftain of the APC, was not carried along, and probably was not invited to the meeting.
Some alleged that denial to attend the meeting might be connected to his secret plot to ditch the ruling APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to realise his Presidential ambition.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, and Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and the APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, were in attendance.
The meeting was also being attended by the National Leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the former Interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande.
The Governors in attendance, included those of Sokoto, Niger, Kogi, Adamawa, Bauchi, Plateau, Katsina, Zamfara, Jigawa, Ondo, Kano, Benue, Oyo, Kebbi, Kaduna, Borno, Imo, and Nasarawa States, as well as the Deputy Governor of Osun State.
Former Governors present were: Senator Ahmad Yarima (Zamfara), Martins Elechi (Ebonyi), Olusegun Osoba (Ogun), Olagunsoye Oyinlola (Osun), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (Kano), and Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), as well as a former Military Administrator of Lagos State, Buba Marwa.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Patricia Etteh, was also present.
