Ohaneze Youths Council has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to dialogue with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The group on Tuesday, October 17, condemned and rejected the call for the restructuring of Nigeria.
Vanguard reports that Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, the OYC national publicity secretary, made this known in Owerri.
Igboayaka also called on the president to institute a sovereign national conference to address Nigeria unity.
He commended Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra for taking the country to a point where issues are discussed.
He said: “Hiding under the restructure just to launch themselves back to political power in Nigeria.
The same people who have crippled the economy and governance of Nigeria and governance of Nigeria cannot claim saint to restructure Nigeria.
At this point, when Nigeria youths are tired of political crisis since 57 years.
“Nigeria government should discuss with IPOB, rather than apply.
We also call on the leadeeship of President Mohammadu Buhari, to institute a sovereign National Conference to address the so called Nigeria unity.
“OYC has resolved resolved that a true sovereign national conference with the majority of Nigeria tribes and ethnic nationality youths bodies will proffer a lasting solution.”
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Enyinaya Abaribe, the senator representing Abia south senatorial district, prayed a court to discharge him entirely from the incidence relating to the bail of Kanu.
