Former President of Court of Appeal, Justice Mamman Nasir has described Nigeria's unity as sacrosanct and non-negotiable.
Justice Nasir, who is also the Chairman Board of Trustees, Sardauna Memorial Foundation, said the North's founding fathers had made sacrifice to make Nigeria a great country at its most turbulent period.
Nasir made the disclosure Sunday in Kano when he led a delegation of Sardauna Memorial Foundation to the family of late AVM Mukhtar Muhammed for a condolence visit.

He said, "The late Premier and his contemporaries have made a suprime sacrifice in making Nigeria's unity sacrosanct. Therefore, rocking the boat at this present time can only spell doom for the nation.
"The existence of Nigeria solely depends on the cohesion needed to maintain the leading role of the region in preserving the unity the country had enjoyed for decades.The issue of religion and ethnicity had been relegated to the background by the late Premier and all his disciples for the issue of national interest to be consolidated."
