Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ihejirika has lauded the Nigerian Army military campaign in the south-east codenamed Operation Python Dance.
He showered encomium on the Nigerian Army while speaking at Nigerian Defence Academy Alumni 18 Regular Course Reunion in Abuja at the weekend,
The former Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Ihejirika said the current service chiefs have been doing well on keeping the country together.
He said the troops are now better armed than before and they are now doing well in keeping peace across the country.
He also the south-east politicians and people appreciated what the military did to suppress the IPOB insurgency.
The President of the Alumni, Air Commodore Femi Oguntuyi said the retirement age of military officers should be put around 60 to 65 years.
