The social media was on fire on Friday, following the official declaration of the embattled Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, to run for the Presidency, in 2019.
The event that took place at the Golden Hall of Chelsea Hotel, Abuja, saw the likes of the former Minister Of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, endorsing him as the “Future President of Nigeria”.
Post-Nigeria took out time to extract some of the reactions on Twitter, as regards Fayose’s declaration.
It was observed that most Nigerians that expressed their views via Twitter, were against Fayose’s Presidential declaration.
Some of the reactions are as follows: “Fayose should take this thing up a notch, by nominating Nnamdi Kanu as his Vice”, a Twitter user said.
Another tweeted: “Fayose for 2019 Presidency. I won’t waste my time voting, I will wait till 2023. There should be better candidates then.”
“FAYOSE declares for President. With the way we are going, a sick Buhari on a hospital bed might win the 2nd term, if we are not careful”, another source tweeted.
Also tweeting: “Fayose will be President come 2018, because I learnt the inmates in Kiri Kiri do have a President.”
Another twitter source said: “Fayose’s rantings in the name of a declaration in Abuja, really exposed him as a confused clown. We have gone beyond motor park politics.”
Another Twitter user said: “Fayose’s ambition is being dismissed as a joke on twitter, same way his Guber ambition was dismissed as a joke in 2014.”
“Very soon, PDP people will say APC sponsored Fayose to destroy what remained of their party. Same claim made against Sheriff”, another source added.
