Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor has insisted that the soldiers who invaded Nnamdi Kanu's home on September 14, 2017 must produce the IPOB leader to face trial on the next court day slated for next month.
He stated this while speaking in an interview with Saturday Sun. The lead counsel to the IPOB leader while insisting that while Kanu enjoyed his bail condition he walked freely and was prepared to come to court on the day of trial had no intention or anything near it to jump bail.
He warned the military has no option but to produce his client on the next court day.
He said: ''I didn’t, but as a lawyer, I should know what to do when any situation presents itself. When it became difficult for the military to oblige our request for his release, whether dead or alive, I said we have another option available in law to explore, because when the court makes an order that they should produce him in court, they have no option than to produce him.
''Forget about the lies they’ve been telling; they must produce him. By the process we have initiated, if they have killed my client; they should come and tell the court. Then we will now know what to do, because he has to be given befitting burial if at all such thing happened. But God forbid!, he added.
