Ohaneze Ndigbo group in Bayelsa state under the aegis of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide have declared they would not celebrate the highly cherished Igbo-Day annual celebration this year.

The body of the Igbos in a press conference in Yenagoa said they would rather stay in their homes to pray and mourn their brothers and sisters being allegedly killed by the Nigerian military via operation “Python Dance II”.President of the group, Maurice Chinedu Amaku, in a statement, said the decision to dedicate the celebration to prayers was reached, national leaders.
