Emerging report reaching US, revealed that the embattled Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, is allegedly owing the State Judges 11 month salaries.
This shocking disclosure was made by a highly placed source within the Judiciary, who spoke exclusively to Post-Nigeria via telephone, on Wednesday.
The source disclosed that the Judges in the State have been living from hand to mouth.
This allegation came barely a few days after Rochas Okorocha celebrated his 55th birthday with 27 very expensive cakes, representing the number of Local Governments in the State, among other well funded events to mark his new age.
Designed in the form of a two-way staircase, the cakes had the picture of the Governor, with the inscription of his other name.
There was also the message: “We love you”, clearly spelled out on one of the cakes, with his age, 55, littered around the other ones.
The source said: “Okorocha is owing Judges in the State for 11 months; instead of paying salaries, he went ahead to tax poor women in the various Local Governments to present cake for him on his birthday. This totally unacceptable.”
All efforts made by US to reach Okorocha’s Media Aide, popularly known as Sam, to react to the allegation, proved abortive.
It is worthy to note also that Sam, had a few months ago, vowed not to pick the calls made by OUR Correspondents.
