Some aggrieved members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have taken to the social media to blast the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, over his recent statement on the agitation for the Biafra nation.
Recall, that the IGP had released a statement on Tuesday, stating that Biafra and Nigeria as nations, could not exist on the same soil, and therefore, mobilised a good number of Policemen to the South-East, to ensure a peaceful conduct of the forthcoming Anambra State Gubernatorial elections.
His words: “There is no country called Biafra, we are all Nigerians. All the South-Eastern States are part of this country, Nigeria. We should endeavour to promote good conduct.”
Members of IPOB reacting however, blasted the IGP for daring to speak against their agitation for a Biafran State, calling on the IGP, to submit himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for an immediate probe of the N120 Billion fraud which he was alleged to have committed by Senator Misau Isah.
Below are some of the comments to the IGP:
“Ronath Dappa: Are you the one to decide?? There is an allegations of fraud against you, by a serving Senator, clear yourself over that, before talking about Biafra!
Theresa Obi Story: You are only an IGP whose removal is subject to 2/3 majority of the National Assembly, or at the discretion of the President, especially in public interest. So be careful how you brag. You removal can be anytime.
Mishak Uchendu: I belieave that you will not be alive to see Biafra, because your days are numbered. As you are killing innocent people, so shall your own die in front of you.
Onyebuchi O. Obike: Criminal, tell your so called Nigerians where you have been keeping the billions you have been swindling from companies.
Jerry Ighovodo Onoghofor Okpomor: What of the N150Billion bribe money? Have your reported yourself to Magu?
Mike Obinna: Close your dirty smelling mouth idiot; your secret deals are already out, we know all.”
You would recall, that a few weeks ago, Senator Misau Isah, among other allegations had accused the IGP of engaging in promotion racketeering; he also accused the IGP of collecting bribes, ranging from N10m to N15m from Commissioners of Police, State Mobile Commanders, and Special Protection Units (SPU) Commanders, for favourable postings.
Furthermore, he alleged that the IGP makes up to N10bn monthly from oil companies, banks, and private individuals, who enjoy special protection from the security agency.
