BREAK-UP: NIGERIA's UNITY not negotiable - Nigerian Senate declares

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday declared that the Unity of Nigeria was not negotiable and reminded agitators of Nigeria's commitment to the territorial integrity of Nigeria.

The announcement of the resolutions was made yesterday by the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

He said, “the Senate resolved that Nigeria’s unity is not negotiable and we are all committed to the territorial integrity of our country.

“The Senate will use all possible measures to make sure that peace is restored to all parts of Nigeria.

“The Senate hereby advises that all groups who seem to be pursuing any agitation should do so within constitutional means.”
