The immediate past President of the United States of America, USA, Barrack Obama, has broken a world record, over his latest tweet on the social media.
Obama’s tweet on Saturday, condemning the racial killing in Charlottesville, American State of Virginia, has received 2.4 million likes, and still counting.
President Donald Trump, was silent on Twitter, refusing to address the violent clash between hate groups and protesters for hours, after the clash broke out.
Obama had shared three powerful messages, one of which was in the form of a Nelson Mandela quote, about hate and the human potential to love.
He wrote: “No one is born hating another person, because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion…” This tweet alone gathered 39,000 responses, 1.0 million retweets, and 2.4 million likes, making it the third most-liked tweet in history.
