A foreign based Niger Delta activist and columnist with the Nigerian Voice has taken a swipe at the immediate past Governor of Edo State, Mr. Adams Oshiomhonle for the statement credited to him about the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose.
The fiery writer said in no uncertain terms that it is, in fact, the former Edo governor that has taken the leave of his senses and not Governor Fayose. While describing the former governor as diminutive he said he reasons through his south pole - a euphemism for the human anus.
Ekiti Governor, he added has executed policies that have positively impacted on the lives of the people as against Oshiomhole whose tenure as governor of Edo State only succeeded in handing the indigenes nothing but death warrants considering the mass exodus from the state in search of greener pastures abroad. He pointed out that many youths of Edo extraction have died in the fiery Sahara desert and the Mediterranean in a needless adventure to Europe.
In the piece below, titled ''Dimunitive Oshiomhole's head needs to be examined'', a rebuttal on the attack on Peter Ayodele Fayose, the activist, Iyoha John Darlington wrote:
'“I don’t like to discuss Fayose because when he makes his statements, it only reminds me of an Igbo proverb which says that if a responsible man is having his bath after a hard day’s work and he removes his dress in a local bathroom and a mad man carries the dress and the man bathing, seeing that the mad man has carried the dress, he runs out Unclad pursuing him, people will see two Unclad people running and they will say, two mad men. So, sometimes, you just allow the mad man to carry your dress and go rather than joining him in his madness.'', Oshiomhonle was quoted as saying while speaking to Vanguard.
From the statement above, if Nigerians were to be asked who has gone out of his mind between the diminutive Oshiomhole and the peoples' governor, Mr. Aodele Fayose, you will agree with me the tide will be against Oshiomhole because his frequent diatribes, infantile savage utterances against voices of reason are only evocative of a mentally deranged Homo Sapiens from an extinct barbarian tribe.
Oshiomhonle came, stole and left, thus leaving Edo State groaning, saddled with a massive debt burden bequeathing nothing to Edo people. The only thing he succeeded in doing was to sign their death warrant which takes a toll on the youths in the fiery Sahara desert while making it to the coast of North Africa for an onward crossing of the Mediterranean to Europe. Many avoidable deaths have been recorded in this needless adventure.
On the contrary, Governor Fayose has proven by words and deeds to be the peoples' governor by his remarkable achievements. He remains the only Nigerian leader who identifies with the Nigerian Plebians as obtains in the civilized world. I have watched video clips of ex-Governor Oshiomhole where he assumed airs while he held sway in Edo State which he still does that to this day.
I hope Nigerians will not forget in a hurry the go-and-die 'sentence' he slammed on an indigent widow that sparked media outrage, that episode still sails across the minds of many Nigerians to this day.
While he sees himself as an overlord and grandee, the world sees Governor Fayose otherwise. The latter is loved not only by Ekiti people but beyond Ekiti for his fair play, equality, and justice, a cause he champions with every passing day. Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose is without any doubt a man of the people. He does this by words and deeds. In the not too distant past, we all saw a photograph of him trending on the social media where he queued up to take his turn on a roadside pub somewhere in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city.
There is no denying the fact that Oshiomhonle reasons through his south pole - anus - calling to mind his recent remark against the restructuring of Nigeria which remains the only way out of the present fiery agitation capable of breaking up the country. He was probably trying to please some northern overlords in order to remain relevant on the Nigerian political firmament. He often reasons anti-clockwise in his utterances but recently his covertly sponsored grazing Bill was thrown out by the Edo State House of Assembly. Recall Oshiomhonle had before now said he was going to allow open grazing in the state but as luck would have it he could not do it before he left office.
I hope wherever he is he is aware of the reign of terror on Edo people by the invading band of Fulani marauders which has caused pains and irreparable losses. But Governor Fayose openly stood against that and thus saved his people. Only last month, it made news headlines that Oshiomhonle's surrogate, the state's deputy Governor one Philip Shuaibu advocated intermarriage between the Fulani and Edo people as the only way to forestall attacks by the former. Ever heard of that arrant nonsense? That nonsensical remark doubtless makes them birds of a feather.
All these are a pointer to the fact that it is Oshiomhole's head that actually needs to examined by a psychiatrist and not the peoples' governor, Mr. Ayode Fayose who continues to sit high in peoples' hearts.''
