THE Governor of Rivers State, Nyesome Wike, has said the government and people of Rivers State believe in the oneness and indivisibility of Nigeria.
He disclosed this in Sokoto when he paid Sallah homage in Sokoto, Sokoto State.
While speaking on the going agitations in the country particularly the Biafra agitation, Governor Wike said there were better ways to solving agitations rather than a break-up.
“Rivers and its people believe in the oneness and unity of Nigeria and that is our stand.
“The Sultan is a father to all Nigerians and he is a peace builder in Nigeria and beyond.
“We have also been friends with (Governor Aminu) Tambuwal since and before his emergence as Speaker House of Representatives and this will be sustained in spite of party differences,” Wike averred.
The Sultan of Sokoto on his part extolled the developmental strides of Wike in Rivers, as well as his existing relationship with the Muslim community there.
