The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has given a condition for peace to reign in Nigeria. Vanguard reports.
Reacting to the eviction order, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South-South called on all political parties to cede their 2019 presidential tickets to the South-East.
This, it says, remains the only way to reassure Igbos that they are still part of the Nigerian federation.
IPOB debunked the rumours on the grapevine that some leaders of Peoples' Democratic Party in the South-South and South-East are behind its activities to destabilise the Buhari administration.
The Biafra separatist movement asserts that the recent quit notice by the northern youths in collaboration with the Northern Elders is a pointer to the fact that the Igbos are no more needed in Nigeria.
In a statement issued by Dr Nwokorie Igbe, IPOB's coordinator in the region, he said, “it is obvious now to everybody that the Igbo are not the problem of this nation but the North, who have exploited us over the years. It is in the history of this nation that all the political parties apart from APGA forbids any Igbo man emerging under their platform as a presidential candidate.
“Some people are today trying to blackmail Igbo youths that they are being sponsored, they should also tell us those who are sponsoring the massacre of the Igbo in the North and those who sponsored Boko Haram.'', he added.
