The president has been battling undisclosed illness for quite some time now Following the arrival of Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari who returned from London where she went to visit the president who is on a medical vacation,

After his return, President Buhari engaged in little activities since he returned to Nigeria from London after an extended medical vacation which kept him out of the country for 51 days.
The president returned on Friday, March 10 and said he would resume work on Monday, March 13 although he revealed he would be returning to the UK in a few weeks. Here is the timeline of the president’s illness according to BBC.
19 January – Leaves for UK on “medical vacation” 5 February – Asks parliament to extend medical leave 10 March – Returns home but does not resume work immediately 26 April – Misses second cabinet meeting and is “working from home” 28 April

Meanwhile, on her arrival, reports that Aisha thanked Nigerians for the faith in the presidency and the prayers of the people for her husband.
She said the president is getting stronger by the day. She urged the people to support the federal government in implementing the agenda for which they were elected.
“Mr. President thanked the acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for his loyalty and called on Nigerians to continue to support the acting President in his effort to actualize the mandate of the All Progressives Congress,” she said.
