THE Federal Government has finally broken silence on the restructuring of Nigeria as agitations continue by various groups across the country.
The was disclosed on Thursday by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
He said what Nigeria urgently stands in need of at this material time is not restructuring, after all, considering the enormous challenges inherited by President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.
He made the disclosure while speaking on “Focus Nigeria” current affairs Programme of African Independent Television (AIT), anchored by Gbenga Aruleba.
The Minister maintained that the issue of restructuring is, in fact, a misplacement of priority considering other daunting challenges like corruption, Boko Haram menace, insurgency bedevilling the country.
With these staring the country ominously in the face, the issue of restructuring does not arise for now.
What is of paramount importance now is to urgently fix the economy and deal with the insecurity in the country.
Speaking further, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said it is the firm resolve of the Federal Government to deal ruthlessly with anyone or group that disturb the peace of the nation and constitute a threat to anyone or group.
The Minister also reminded Nigerians that two years after the inauguration of this administration, the Buhari government has succeeded in delivering on three campaign promises.
