A high profile source, has revealed that former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has the details of the health challenges confronting President Muhammadu Buhari, despite having spent not less than 49-days in London, for medical check-up and treatments.
Speaking to Post-Nigeria exclusively, via telephone, on Monday, around 10:30 a.m., the source who resides in Ogun State, said that: “Baba (Obasanjo) is watching, at the appointed time, he will speak out.”
He added: “Remember during the days of Yar’Adua, Baba did not speak until the appointed time. He spoke and the rest was history.”
When Post-Nigeria sought clarification, if Buhari is really incapacitated as claimed by many political watchers, he said: “Nothing happens in this country without the knowledge of Obasanjo. The former President does not dwell in speculations. Whether Buhari is incapacitated or not, at the appointed time, the former President will speak.”
He further added, that Obasanjo in his series of meetings, conferences, and paper presentations, has tried as much as he could, to avoid commenting on Buhari’s health status, in order not to throw the nation into unnecessary tension.
Post-Nigeria recalled, that the last time Obasanjo publicly spoke on Buhari’s lingering health crisis, was in February, through a Press statement signed by him.
He had described the people behind the death rumour of Buhari, as abnormal, wicked, callous, and treacherous.
He had described the people behind the death rumour of Buhari, as abnormal, wicked, callous, and treacherous.
Obasanjo had said that instead of bothering Buhari with such “worrisome” declarations of his own death, what the President needed, “are our prayers and best wishes, which will ginger his morale to come back stronger and better.”
“No normal human being will wish an elderly person dead, irrespective of their differences.
“If you don’t like him, wait for another election; not going about to say he is dead. No matter his health situation, we should pray for him to recover quick, and come back stronger and better.
“For anyone wishing him dead, such person or group of persons are callous, wicked and treacherous,” Obasanjo had said.
