REPORTS reaching our Paris news room say the Turkish people and government trooped out en masse on Sunday to voice their solidarity for the emergence and restoration of Biafra.
In an email message sent to our newsroom a while ago from Ankara, Turkey, the people of Turkey say they will put in every logistic and support to ensure the emergence of Biafra from ''Nigeria as an independent and sovereign nation provided the due process is followed.''
The Biafra separatist movement in Turkey, the reports say, enjoys the cooperation and support of the government and people of Turkey who have vowed to help the agitation succeed by retaining the services of other world powers to press Nigeria to grant the Biafra independence.
Every means, the report say, would be employed in this regard to realise this.
Also in the report is the plan by the Turkish government to engage world powers to press for the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu is facing treasonable charge along with others who have been granted bail by courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria which the federal government , according to reports, have failed to obey.
