KIDNAPPERS AND ARMED ROBBERS TAKE OVER ABA
The reign of terror, robbery and kidnapping have started full blast again in Aba, Enyimba City of Abia State.
Yesterday evening while I was enjoying my evening sit out with friends eating bush meat (Achi) and taking wine in the most beautiful local government (Isuikwuato) in Abia State, i got several calls from Aba detailing me of a very serious shooting going on in Aba, especially Ngwa Road.
In fact, one of my caller was lying down with his family on the floor of his house just to make sure they escape from any form of stray bullet, as if I have a set of special ear, he was emphasizing “can’t you hear the gun shots, listen very well, it is sounding hard ” he said.
The fear in our conversation made me to realize that Aba residents are living in deep fear and great feeling of terror. Aba is gradually going back to the days of Osisikankwe, If time is not taken mass exodus will happen again in Aba.
The second person that called me was able to narrow it down to kidnappers, ” Abia Facts kidnappers are operating with reckless abandon in Aba now, in the past 48 hours 2 persons have been kidnapped before me ” -he said.

How can you want to build the economy of a state with such high level of insecurity, is it possible.. No.
Something must be done, Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu needs to quickly reorganize the security network of Aba with the leadership of security agencies in Abia State. This is very important, very very important, if this is not done then expect another mass exodus out of Aba and the IGR of the State will drop drastically.
The governor needs as a matter of urgency to visit President Muhammadu Buhari and complain on the issue of security
and seek for presidential assistant in tackling this issue.

I will advise that we have massive redeployment of senior security agencies officers in Aba and Abia State , this will create room for fresh ideas and fresh zeal to fight the insurgents in Aba.
No matter the assumed good intentions of the government, if they fail in security, they have failed in everything.
