A chieftain of Nigeria's governing party, the All Progressives' Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has charged the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to peacefully go home after being released on bail, The Herald reports.
He descended heavily on the IPOB leader using all vile words on him which according to him for disturbing the peace of the country.
Words like “stupid”, “hopeless agitation for the realisation of Biafra” were freely used by Joe Igbokwe against the IPOB leader who commands millions of followers across the south-east and beyond.
The use of the above-named words has, in fact, sparked off angry reactions by millions of IPOB supporters across the world.
He reportedly made the comment in reaction to the threat by pro-Biafra groups to ban him from the south-east for making disparaging comments against the freed IPOB leader.
According to him, 'Biafra is not achievable, stressing that agitators are just “dissipating their energy for nothing.”
He said, “Now that he has been granted bail, he should just quietly go home and rest. We are not a candidate of Biafra. They are just dissipating their energy for nothing. I just hope he will just go home quietly and stop disturbing the peace of the country.
“We are not for Biafra. We can’t build Nigeria for others. The so-called Biafra is too small for us. Nigeria provides a big stage for us. We own this country.
“We are a major ethnic group in this country. How can you go for a small pond when you have the Atlantic Ocean?
