Reports and video emailed to our newsroom a while ago from the Union of South Africa showed an angry mob attacking the Nigerian High Commission as xenophobic attack continues.

The mob reportedly broke their way into the High Commission, while the Embassy staff absconded. Security agents, we were told, feigned ignorance as none was on the ground to arrest the situation.

Nigerian National Flag , the symbol of Nigerian authority was taken down and torn to pieces while a coffin was also smuggled into the High Commission calling for the Ambassador's head.
