When President Muhammadu Buhari left Nigeria for London on January 19 for a 10-day vacation, no one knew it was going to turn into a major national discourse.
The president has since extended his leave indefinitely on medical grounds.
In his absence, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been acting on his behalf.
There have been speculations about the president’s health and some Nigerians are still confused over what is going on. The presidential aides have not helped as they have ended up confusing Nigerians more with their conflicting statements.
Some Nigerians are at that point where they feel they are being taken for fools by the presidency.Buhari has been calling people in Nigeria from London and some people are wondering why he cannot address Nigerians through a live video call. Out of the millions of people in Nigeria expecting his call, Buhari has called a few people close to him.
Here is what we know about Buhari’s phone calls from London.

On February 26, Buhari placed a telephone call from London to the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Usman, over the death of his mother. He urged him to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a good life.
