President Muhammadu Buhari, is set to arrive Nigeria, on or before March 7, before the possibly eight-weeks closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, Presidential sources have revealed.
Sources close to Buhari, disclosed that the President’s Doctors in the United Kingdom, UK, have recommended that he stays in London for as long as four months, in order to complete a rigorous regimen of treatment for a prostrate-related ailment, as well as Crohn’s disease.
Recall, that Buhari who left Nigeria on a medical vacation on January 19, had written to the Senate that he would remain in the United Kingdom to await the results of tests ordered by his Doctors.
However, emerging reports revealed that Buhari who is yet to complete his treatment, has allegedly discarded his Doctor’s advice, by seeing the need to return before the shutting down of Abuja International Airport, starting from midnight on March 7, 2017.
“Some of Mr. President’s Associates are mounting pressure on him to return to Abuja as soon as possible, and especially before the [Abuja] Airport is temporarily closed”, a source confirmed.
Recall also, that Halima, a daughter from Buhari’s first marriage, recently returned to Abuja on a British Airways flight.
It was learnt that her return to Abuja was possibly to prepare for her father’s temporary return to Nigeria.
Sources revealed further, that even if Buhari returns soon, he would need to travel out again to London in a few months to continue with his treatments.
