Youth Corps members in Zamfara State are currently protesting in the Kaura Namoda area of the state over the detention of one of them.
According to Punch Metro, the detained corper was reportedly taken by the police on the orders of a rich man because he punished his ward.
Sources revealed that Michael, who is serving at Nasara Standard Academy in Kauwas was today brutalized, manhandled by the police.
It was gathered that Michael was said to have punished a student who happens to be a rich man’s ward by simply asking him to go on his knees.
However, angered by the action of Michael, the unnamed rich man ordered policemen to get the corper arrested, who punched and subjected him to dehumanizing situation.
Now, other corpers have taken to the street to demand his immediate release.
