Barely 18 months after Governor Rochas Okorocha completed the renovation of the Imo State House of Assembly complex, members of the State Legislature and staff members at the Assembly complex, have again been forced to vacate the complex for fear of its collapse.
The Legislative complex which was under renovation for nearly two years before it was opened June 2015, has again shown disturbing signs of serious structural defects.
This has led to the shutting down of the Assembly Complex, and relocation of staff and Legislators to the Imo Trade and Investment building, otherwise known as the Ahiajoku Centre.
Recall, that the building was shut down from 2013 to 2015, for massive renovations, and reopened during the swearing in of Legislators in the 8th House.
