Current President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari in 2011 went to Minna to campaign under the CPC. He spoke in Hausa language, his command was "KILL THEM, KILL THEM, DON'T ACCEPT ANY RESULT OTHER THAN OUR VICTORY, KILL THEM" he cried while carrying a spear up in demonstration.
The results later were announced and he lost. Many were slaughtered in the North. Remember those poor corpers. Some were allegedly locked in a police cell and burnt alive; a pregnant corper was reportedly stabbed on the tummy repeatedly until the unborn foetus came out.
Buhari was called upon to help calm his supporters; his words were complete silence. After the killings Buhari said "the corpers paid the ultimate price". States like Lagos had to send help down the North, to transport their kids back to Lagos.
