In what many have described as a decision fast tracked perhaps due to the current economic recession, Dangote Group has dismissed 109 workers at Obajana Cement Company in Kogi State. Mr Abdulahi Magaji who is the coordinator of the company’s patrol team revealed this on Tuesday, December 6 at the Obajana premises of the company.
Magaji said the dismissed workers were among the 244 suspects arrested between May and November for illegal haulage, stealing and other activities contrary to the company’s stipulation. He said 115 more workers were awaiting the outcome of investigation and were remanded in prison. Magaji said Alhaji Aliko Dangote directed that misconducts by drivers should be reduced to the barest minimum.
