PARIS, DECEMBER 12, 2016: (DGW) Buhari's popularity in the north has begun to wane as he unavoidably had to cancel his scheduled visit to Bauchi State in reaction to the outrage and criticisms expressed by the people of State over the state governor's declaration of Tuesday as a public holiday to welcome President Buhari.
DailyGlobeWatch exclusively gathered that a visibly embarrassed President Buhari had to hurriedly cancel the planned visit to commission key projects.
Recall,the Secretary to the State Government, Bello Shehu Ilelah, earlier in a statement said that the public holiday was declared to honour the president's visit to commission the Nigerian Airforce Hospital as well as other laudable projects executed by the State Government and to also allow the general public and civil servants to give the president a deserving welcome.
