‘He was taking a walk on the street and at the same time checking ongoing works on some construction sites in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital on Friday, 2nd December, 2016. So here we are in Okesa, in pix 1 he bought banana and bottled groundnuts from this woman, in pix 2 he paid, in pix 3 and 4 he ate some, then from pixs 5 upwards he started sharing the banana amongst these kids who won’t stop shouting Oshoko! Oshoko!!, Oshoko!!!.
We all trekked to the first gate of the governor’s office, officers at the gate attempted to send the kids back but the governor overruled them. So we got to the second gate those ones tried stopping them,in fact, to them it was strange, again the governor bailed them out, so they followed the governor to the site of the next project he was to supervise.
He lined them up and ‘settled’ them according to their ages, they went home fulfilled, very fulfilled.
Tomorrow, for sure they will have stories to tell, I imagine one of them say, in those days, when they were constructing that overhead bridge, I followed Fayose to the governor’s office and he did so so so…
